issue full time aa, part time ani kaadu...I don;t think Dharkaar wants to be just a writer, he is writing them in the hope of directing...Whether you are a professional or an amateur, an idea is an idea...it's ok to discuss couple of scenes here and there and trying to see how they fit in the whole schema, but it's always risky giving away the crux of the story...it's ok to discuss the act1, but giving away the crucial act2 and act3 is risky...this is my opinion... I have narrowed down to go with a mystery as a maiden attempt, partly because of budget constraints...in next one and half year, I should be ready with something concrete... Don't you think it's very easy for me to structure your concept and write beats for 60 scenes and get them developed by an upcoming writer by paying little or no money? all I need to know is the obstacle for the love story template, which you revealed in your post... I know it's quite natural to get emotional and share high concept for a movie in DB, as we need someone to share and comment...DB is not an artists' addaa and will never be one...you don't benefit by posting your pitches here, instead there is a very high chance of those ideas stolen by someone. Post 1732 is an excellent idea. Here is why? Since Aristotle's time of 'Poetics'...Love Story structure has been used very often in folklore, in various fairy tales(an inversion of classic love story structure), in drama and in plays and often to show the heroics of the protogonist... No matter where it is used, how it is used, a template/blueprint/form/structure of the story told, soon emerged by reverse engineering the essence of these stories... So all Love stories share roughly the same structure, except a few inversions of the template here and there... Act1: Boy meets the girl and the propagation of love (here the focus is on the romance and intimate squabbles...and usually the people in love are in their youth) Act2: There is an obstacle/impediment/hindrance for them to live for ever to maintain the status quo of act1. The hindrance separates them, then you root for their love... Act3: They must act now to get reunited and this forms the resolution of the conflict. This is the blue print for a love story...If there is only one love story blue print, how is it possible that we have so many love stories since shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet? By placing a hindrance, which is different and hitherto unheard of, you create a different love story....in other words, by placing a different obstacle, you are trying to spin a different story from the same love story blue print... What I liked in your pitch is: you tried to place a different obstacle, which is not silly in the first place. After those 4 tasks are fulfilled by the hero and heroine, their perspective about life changes and there by going through character arc....also, with the 4 tasks you mentioned, there is lot of scope for comedy and entertainment... You can go ahead and create those 60 or 70 scenes with beat sheet and form a scenic outline to see if you really have enough story to tell...all I can tell at this point is it will be a good high concept... THE MEET first time when the lead pair meet.... A conference hall in a star hotel..dull light...audience scattered in the venue...here and there.....oka fat obnoxious speaker talking about the new version of a software and its integration with another one and all dat crap.... Akira is bored.....the voice and the image of dat speaker is making him nauseated....the woman sitting next to him is looking a like a geek with big glasses and chimpiri juttu and she is yelling and clapping for the speech..... he is holding a mineral water bottle and with an absolute disgust he takes a sip..... Akira koorchunna chair ki diagnol gaa entrance for that conference hall... manodu water bottle etthi thaaguthunnapudu he hears a noise at the entrance door....the orator stops for a sec and then he continue.... Akira turns and manodu is flattt....oka too much pori coming from the entrance....everything becomes slow motion.....she takes eternal time to come and take a seat(background lo kewwww music)....Akira keeps on staring at her.....camera captures each and every move of dat girl gracefully.....manodu kallappaginchi soothuntadu....
