Anand ji For me if the actor is good he is going to get noticed and get praised even no matter how poorly his role is etched... u know in movie namak haram amitabh was supposed to die but rajesh khanna was insecure that amitabh may get sympathy of audience and he pressurized the script wtiter to terminate khannas character in the end..... u know who end up getting all the accolades...it was amitabh..... because amtabh was good compared to khanna..... same is the case in Anand...doesnt matter if jayas character was bound to get sympathy.....I see jaya completely overshadowing him in dat movie...she is too talented...as mentioned before same is om puri in DEV and manoj bajpai in AKS... El, I rate Abhimaan as one of his best performances - Jaya did great but she had the sympathy going for her as the victim hence the feeling that she dominated... Amitabh was in perceived negative role and he did great... Chupke Chupke is a comedy true and Dharmendra did great too ... The point is that Amitabh played the char and did it very well... since when has the definition of a good performance been that you steal the limelight ? Abhiman and kabh kabhi....an introvert...calm...reclusive amitabh....a shadow of dewar and trishul.... in Abhiman Jaya completely dominates him right???esp in the climax tere mere milan song........... chupke chupke...was a comedy...even dharam ji was good in dat......a feel good performance...not earth shattering.... em critics mama....he was completely over taken by om puri in dat one....he doesnt have it....he is good in giving kick to masses with that angry look and mass comedy...just like chiru.....amitabh aint a complete actor....he is lucky he is working some of the best in business...bhansalis..vinod chopras...varmas...same style in all the movies.....same body language....In all the movies u have mentioned amitabh was good in aankhen as he plays himself an angry old man.......sarkar raj was also a good performance ..... but thats about it...i didnt c last lear so cant comment... | ||

pacino and brando are legends agreed...their impact is most felt in film schools and acting classes and among the elite audience... but if u ask who can consistently send a hollywood movie to grab 100M dollars at box office....u will rarely hear such names....
