GA version At a time when there are definite signals from the Centre about an imminent bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress Party has given a new twist to the debate. It has demanded that the ruling Congress should first spell out its policy on the demand for separate Telangana state. The UPA government should then follow it up by convening an all-party meeting to discuss the issue. Without revealing its stand on the raging issue, the Congress cannot proceed further on the issue, the YSR Congress Party leaders B karunakar Reddy, Babu Rao, Shobha Nagi Reddy and Gurunath Reddy said in a letter addressed to the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The move is apparently aimed at pushing the Congress on the defensive and make it accountable for the consequences of its decision on the Telangana issue. "If the bifurcation of the state becomes inevitable, then all regions should get equal justice and all parties should be taken into confidence," the letter said. The official stand of the YSR Congress Party is that the responsibility of resolving the Telangana issue lies with the Centre and it should resolved in such a way that all the regions get justice.
