Most people coming to USA today are from India's poor class that pushed into a comfortable middle class during the last 25 years. I think there mindset, is a bit different. People in India are very greedy at this time about accumulating wealth, whatever the price paid to get it. | ||

A person who is worth 1 million in the US will feel that they are priviliged to some extent. But it doesn't seem so in India. Tall talk and grandiose expectations has become an obsession , especially talking of money in Hyperbole. | ||

To be frank if you ate 3 times a day your entire life and never starved... I think you are rich. But of course rich is just a perception. Is it OK to say that all households with a net worth of 80-100 lakh INR or more can be considered "rich." Many people dont seem to think so.Does this say something about the materialistic delusion of modern day Indian society, especially the urban class? complete disconnection from the reality of india and of the priviliged life that they have. From my personal experiences, unless people have 10c, they think they are middle class. Basically cry on the rich while being rich themselves. |
