Irish independent about Mahesh 1 Bollywood heart-throb to film here The â¬70m psychological thriller 'One Nenokkadine' has been described as the Indian version of Matt Damon's worldwide hit 'The Bourne Identity'. It stars Mahesh Babu, a 37-year-old heartthrob and son of the silver-screen veteran, Krishna Ghattamaneni. The cast and crew are due to touch down on Irish shores on June 13. Filming will mainly take place in Belfast but producers are eyeing Dublin locations too. Chris Patterson and his production company Causeway Pictures will facilitate the 'One Nenokkadine' team and he told the Irish Independent that they could hire 100 extras during the month-long stint. Bollywood Blockbuster 'One Nenokkadine' to Shoot in Ireland this Month, with Belfast's Causeway Pictures 04 Jun 2013 : By Kevin Cronin Bollywood's 'One Nenokkadine' to film in Belfast this June. Belfast-based Causeway Pictures will facilitate a major Bollywood production 'One Nenokkadine' - set to start filming in Belfast this 13th June with negotiations underway for part of it also to be filmed in Dublin. Causeway Pictures producer Paddy McCarney confirmed to IFTN that they are actively trying to arrange for part of the film to be shot at a public location in Dublin. The production, starring Indian superstar Mahesh Babu and helmed by acclaimed Indian director Sukumar, was also partly filmed in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh and Goa in India. Mahesh Babu will play a motorbike riding rockstar in what is described as a romantic action adventure in the vein of The âBourne Identityâ films alongside Mumbai model Kriti Sanon as the female lead. Babu first rose to fame as the son of Bollywood legend Krishna Ghattamaneni, one of the most famous stars in the history of Indian cinema. 'One Nenokkadine' is the second Bollywood production to film on Irish shores following âEk Tha Tigerâ (Once There Was a Tiger) which was filmed in Trinity College and other Dublin locations and featured an elaborate action sequence onboard the Luas, which has since become a YouTube sensation. As a showcase of Ireland on the international stage, 'Ek Tha Tiger' screened in 24 countries and was released in 3,000 cinemas across India. A 14 Reels production, 'One Nenokkadine' has a budget estimated to be in the region of â¬70-80m, with a release date scheduled for this September. Other cast members include Sayaji Shinde, Vikram Singh, Kelly Dorji and Srinivasa Reddy â with Irish extras to be used for the final scenes in Northern Ireland.
