I was supposed to meet someone for a business meeting at their house at 5:00 PM. This was the first time I was visiting him at his home. I reached a few minutes early and rang the bell. Nobody opened the door but, I was greeted by 3 dogs with their barking (I could see them through the windows). All Dogs started barking with high intensity and as I decided to leave after 5 minutes, I somehow felt decrease in the intensity of their barking. So, I decided to stay back and have some fun. Here is what happened. ------------------- 5:00 - 5:05 -- > All 3 dogs Non Stop door Scratching and barking with high intensity 5:05 - 5:10 -- > All 3 dogs Non Stop barking barking with low intensity and no scratching. 5:10 - 5:15 -- > 2 dogs went away. only one dog barking 80% of the time taking rest for the rest of the time 5:15 - 5:20 -- > 3rd dog also goes away. barks 50% of the time from other room. visited me 3 times. After this point, every thing listed below happens only when I ring the bell. Please note that other two dogs did not even bother to bark once. 5:20 - 5:30 -- > when the bell rings, dog comes, looks at me, barks, and goes away 5:40 - 5:50 -- > When the bell rings, dog does not even come. barks once or twice from the other room. 5:50 + -- > I kept ringing the bell every 2 minutes. But, dog barks only once every 5 minutes or so. I was there until 6:15 PM, and left. ------------------- at some point of time, I started counting the number of people going running or walking by the house. There were 38 people that passed by starting around 5:15 PM. |
