wrong. not sure how old you were then but most of us cannot forget the constant bad news from punjab during the VP Singh rule. even as mandal was occupying our thoughts, VP Singh's "healing hearts" completely messed up the punjab situation. Gill was removed around mid-end 1990 by Singh since the militants did not want him around for their peace talks. blackthunder completely messed up the militants but 89-91 was no cake walk for police. soon as PV came back, he brought Gill back since he understood how to handle peace talks. balupu s/o gelupu | ||

As PO said in this post, PV became PM by sheer luck, just like Rosaiah became CM in the state. BUT, after coming to POWER what they did was completely different. While PVNR become one of the BEST PM's for India, Rosaiah became a FAILED CM. To be frank, PVNR is the BEST PM ever. Other good PM's we had (Nehru, Indira), they had ABSOLUTE majority and the problems they faced were lot simpler problems than what PVNR faced. Country was heading for default, Kashmir & Punjab were BIGGEST challenges to country's Integrity. All of these problems were solved by GREAT PVNR garu. There were very FEW mistakes (IF ANY) that were done by our GREAT telugu leader as a PM. | ||
