If you are serious about Skiing or Snowboarding, buy the right equipment. Walmart stuff is a joke. We are in Canada (near rockies) so we go to the mountains regularly. I am a season pass holder for one of the ski hills. Don't penny pinch on equipment. Expect to spend about $700 at least per person; in case of Skiing - Skis, Shoes, helmet, poles and right gloves. If it is snow boarding - board, bindings, boots, helmet and gloves. Either way buy a balaclava (ski mask). I spent about $2k for my two kids on equipment. Go to the shops specialized in the snow sport equipment. Take few lessons (one-on-one); it will be really helpful. If you are not serious and only thinking of doing it for a couple of times per season then ignore the above and just rent everything. | ||
