anothter thing proposed by kamal is satellite rights.. instead of giving the rights to a single channel. which telecasts the movie multiple times and mint money through ads.. he wants to sell the rights for that channel for that day only.. e.g. if sun wants to telecast movie this sunday.. they can buy for that day alone.. next time vijay also can roadcast it.. provided they share ad revenue with the producer.. | ||

Kamal struck a deal with DTH operators. Pay 1000 rs on Jan 11 and you can watch Viswaroopam in your HD TV. 1000 for single viewing. It cannot be recorded. Good move by Kamal. He signed an agreement for 50 c for satelite rights (42.5 for national and 7.5 with sun tv) provided the film gets U certificate. Unfortunately, it got U/A. So as per laws, it can be telecast only after 10 PM which no one will watch. Instead he chose this one. There are 50 lakh dth subscribers in India. Even if 10% of that subscribe for this, it will be good. |
