i second this. karnataka and tamil nadu would probably be at war now if we were not visited by the british. british also gave control back to the hindu masses to some extent. the partition was a great idea, if only there was a uniform civil code instated. There is reality that we live in and there is the farcical misinformation that people want to propagate by stating that Hinduism is misunderstood. Every religious text may outline the same thing, but reality is what matters. Practice is different, especially by those stating they have the right to learn and practice what's on those books.. And what is practiced is what the religion stands for in reality. Coming to invasions. There was too much enmity and backstabbing within Hindus. Read history books written by early invaders and you will see that it was easy to invade Indian subcontinent when all those living in the sub continent(no India then) were trying to backstab one another in their personal interest. | ||

Why dont we hear this stuff from the history departments of Andhra University, Anna University, Annamalai University etc??? We always had a superior army/navy was true. aa rojullo - India was multiple kingdoms,....broadly 3 different regions Present Pakistan, punjab,Gujarat,UP,MP,rajastan,Bihar and Orissa as one region Present NE as a different region which no one was interested in Present Maharashtra.AP,Karnataka,TN,Kerala and Sri lanka as one region. And in each of these 3 regions there were multiple kingdoms... Culture was different in each of the 3 regions and even within the regions there were differences... Outward Conquests only happened from the Southern region and not from the Northern region.... And for a religion to spread you do not need military conquests :-) Today there are thousands of people who travel to India to learn meditation and Yoga - and that is the real triumph. | ||
