Mass doesn't mean doing films just so fans can say mass hero. It has to be a hit. No one can touch Venkatesh in hit ratio. Who cares if it is remake? It's a hit. After all, it doesn't matter if actor is star son with fan base or created his own space. Cutouts and milk pouring is for fans with no sense. Venkatesh himself won't encourage. He is the least affected by fan craze. Mass hero has to have craze like Chiru or PK. Or even Mahesh. Nag is not even a contender in that category. | ||

If you want to pick 90s/00's films, Chanthi experiment leda? Bobilli Raja, Kshana Kshanam, Ganesh, Preminchukundam Raa, Dharma Chakram, Ganesh, Raja, Devi Putrudu, Nuvvu Nakku Nacchavu and all seem like one genre to you? Of course, Venki rocked in family comedies and has concentrated on that for the last decade. But barring a flop experiment like Vasu, he kept within his range. But produced hits. | ||

see...to find a different or out-of-the-box film in venky's career...you had to go all the way back to 1988, almost 25 yrs ago and point out swarnakamalam... this is exactly my point...he rarely experiments or does films out of box... okka devotional ane kaadu..migitha genres lo kuda pedha ga variation chuyinchaledu venky...i definitely feel that he did not exploit his acting prowess at all...oka box geesukoni andhulone set ayipoyedu venky....he could have gone on to become one of the very good actors/performers in TFI..but sadly, he never left his box.. i dont think venky has a strong fanbase at all...i have seen all heros movies first day first show in RTC X roads until 3 yrs ago...i have rarely seen any hungama for venky movies...probably his movis selection doesn't bring in many fans... and who cares if nag's fan base consists of his fathers or not....does it matter how the fan base came from...nag did mantain it...naa generation vollaki asal ANR tho pedha tuouch ledu...still i admire nag...naa laaga chaala fans ye untar nag ki...ANR fan set completely different generation than nag...and moreover ANR ki krishna/NTR laga hardcore fans kuda takkuve anukuntunna Hmmm.... | ||

That is not nag's fault... Didn't say it was anyone's fault. I tried to imply that when you compare something, there should be 'something' to compare. There is no basis for a comparison of devotional films if one actor has never done them. Brave enough to act in a devotional film... that's just funny. No answer to that. But if you meant, do films that are out of the routine, even Venki did Swarna Kamalam. He did roles where he allowed other characters to shine above him. For a hero/actor, there is no bigger courage than the latter. | ||

Nag is there because ANR was there and because in Tollywood, a hero from a camp can last decades if he is able to give a hit once every few years. SPB had mentioned in one interview(ABN?) that Nag's fans association came to him when Nag's first film was in production and talked about singing being suitable for there hero. Unless Ramanaidu had a fans association, Venki's fanbase is his own creation. :-) | ||

Venki success rate is miles ahead of Nag. Venki talent (acting, dancing) is much better than Nag. Physical attributes varaku, both are at par. Personally, felt Venki was more handsome in the 80's and early 90's, but Nag got tag as romantic handsome hero after Shiva. Venki had the better body among old top 4. Height, weight, structure, colour. Of course, today, Nag has maintained himself better. Age is showing on both faces though. How can anyone compare Venki in devotional roles when he has done none?! | ||

one fetching aspect for venky is he is having good backing from suresh production house be it on movies selection , getting remake rights , and ofcourse distribution front if not for suresh backing movies like kalisundamraa , raja etc wont have got such run nag do produced some movies , but those were on his own bussiness not much family padding , ofcourse annapurna studios used to be the best spot for shootings before RFC came up | ||

Action movies - Venky leads the race with movis like dharma chakram n gharshana.... Where as Nag is having only Shiva to talk about.... If we talk about acting dharma chakram venky is way way way ahead of NAG.... Romantic Movies - Nag Nag Nag All the way he is SRK of Tollywood as far as romantic Movies are concern....
