Vasista garu,thank you for your comments,regarding the accuracy of the phone numbers which were provided in the site, we are trying to check on random basis and if some numbers are not working we are trying to update the info with correct ones, if not available we will remove that field(phno) temporarily. but it will take time for us to check the complete listings which were provided. Regarding the Ad about LS, in a business owner point of view, it was not the site owners intention projected in the ad(the ad will be displayed in such a way third pirty person who is a staunch supporter of LS is promoting his/her party through this platform), and defenitely this will be charged if not the same as other people at least the ad cost. All you guys liked the homepage the way it displayed?or any suggestions will be taken in to consideration and implemented if needed, first we want the site to reach as many as we can and then we want to go for Mobile versions as well. Regarding the articles which will be posted,i can assure some quality content in that,please guys do visit regularly Thanx once again, for all the people who have taken time to go through the site to give me some valuable suggestions. | ||

Filmbuff, some of your comments are good. some can be changed very easily (just based on preference). I think site was developed using Joomla, they can switch the front-end (Design) without much effort. They have very rich content, that is their strength and uniqueness. When i go to the site (at least for now), no background scripts, unnecessary images, that will make me visit the site again when needed. Also, It will give some encouragement if you provide any positive things you noticed. Yes, it is good to have separate styling for mobile phones. Also provide some mechanism to learn the accuracy of the phone numbers/links. Provide a link (report broken link/number), so the admin can check and provide that information on site. So the new visitor don't waste time calling that number, etc., (Reviews are good too). I was looking for furnished apartment for 2 weeks sometime back. I had to search internet, talk to several friends to compile a list and spent a day to personally visit and find a suitable one for my needs. Site already has compiled information, if it has reviews i would have saved couple of days of my time. Another suggestion is: never offer any free service (I saw your post about LS). It will backfire. I personally experienced it (my wife run a web development company). For ex. i provide free service to friends, i was okay to help.. but when i dont have time, i have to rely on some paid resources to do that or wait until i get freed up. But they don't like to wait (after all they are running their businesses too), and everyone is un-happy. If i am paid, i would use paid resources for timely service. Second thing is, why you want to publicly support one political party when you are in business that caters for all section of people. (I am not against LS, i am talking as a business owner). If you have soft corner, donate the money or help them in a different way, but don't tie with this business and risk your reputation. | ||

Okay - let me be a bit upfront here and put done some thoughts that come to my end: a) The UI needs a lot of improvement, it does not look like a 2012 site, it looks like a Web 1.0 site - colours, layout, design, etc can do with loads of improvement. b) Image on the top looks quite ordinary (the one with the RFC and Charminar logo) - use some high resolution pics. However my suggestion is that you eliminate the pic completely. It just adds to the page weight and screws latency c) What is the site about - is it a classified site or a news site. What need is it trying to solve. If it is a classified site, is it better than a sulekha, magicbricks, etc. If it is a yellow pages site, is it better than Just Dial or just a plain Google search. What do you want to be known for. d) Page load time is quite bad - eliminate all kinds of unnecessary imagery. If you have a Congress article, why do you need a Hand Image. Don't people know it. e) Is the page optimised for mobile or tablets. Enable horizontal scrolling, infinite page lengths etc f) Examine other good UIs - of the classified sites in India, i like the magicbricks UI. Have a look at that g) What is the accuracy of the information. Most phone number info in India becomes outdated quite quickly. h) there are so many basic things that an elementary designer would get right - take your listings if you go into say something like guest houses - they are all in random order, not even alphabetical. Ila rasukunta unte, oka book avuddi. To be brutally frank, you just have to invest more time and effort. This is not going to pass muster. Unless it is just a hobby for you. e) | ||

HavingFun garu,if i am not wrong you are saying about going to page when clicking on Movie schedules @ Hyd images box, you will be landing in a page where you can see all the pics of running movies of that week, left side you have menu of Tollywood/Bollywood/Hollywood vundhi, click on them you can have drop down where you can see all the movies list of that categories Regarding Subdirectory mapping, this doesn't falls in Entertainment, Movies@Hyd it self is a seperate module, so dont have any Main categories to give mapping .
