Hindu organizations claim that the temple's roots are as old as the Charminar itself. According to this theory, during the reign of Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, who constructed the Charminar, the temple site consisted of a holy stone. Later, the devotees started lacing the stone with haldi and kumkum, and in the 1960s, an idol was installed and a shed was added. According to one local legend, the shrine was established in the memory of the queen Bhagmati (or Bhagyavati). Others, such as the historian Narendra Luther, maintain that the temple had no existence of any sorts until the 1960s. According to this version, one of the stones near Charminar was painted with the saffron color in 1965, and an old woman became the person in-charge of this "shrine". After an APSRTC bus collided with the stone and damaged it, a pucca structure was created at the site. The stone was replaced with an idol of the goddess Lakshmi. Netflix lo india ani seach chestey oka documentary vastundi.. its a great documentary talks about how the india is formed and also about whether people are born here or migrated from somewhere else and how sanskrit came into existence and how is its related to greek & latin. basically civilization gurinchi maatladutundi. India existed before biblical period. we are older than western civilization. in the same documentary, a research firm goes to small village in kerala takes DNA sample from all the villagers and confirms that all of them have common M101 DNA and which is basically found in african people.. its a 7 or 8 episode documentary, i watched the first episode. will watch one every week. my daughter is very much interested in history, so we watch it together. Bro, occupation of India is not due to lack of Sanathana Dharma, but due to military superiority of invaders. I do not support this also bro. As I mentioned there is a difference in ownership/occupation of land vs sense of a nation. India as we know Today is a Hindu nation, and religion based on Sanathana Dharma is its backbone. The assimilation of Islam into India, has not been a peaceful event, however the coexistence has been exemplary barring few events. As of modern times, 1947 is the primary event showcasing the great divide in the harmony among two religions and the aftermath is being felt even after 65 years. Islam, to coexist in India should fundamentally rely on leaders who go after peace, prosperity and development of their brethen, rather than tactics relying on force, divide, hate and fascist propaganda. Sadly Old city is an example of such leadership. India has also generated an Abdul Kalam, so the problem lies not with the system, but with people and their affiliations.
