I have purchased 4 cars for me, one for my friend and another for my BIL. I have followed the following process. Create a fake email ID(or use if you have one) which wont give your identity directly(to avoid spam). Go to Edmunds.com, kbb.com like sites, fill in the new car quote forms on them. (dont give any of your REAL name/contact info/phone num/primary email ID etc.. They may bombard you with spam. We got many quotes as a response. Picked up few reviews of the dealers, picked up the lowest of all the quotes and sent that to every other dealer emails (saying, we got the least quote as follows, whats your offer?). Make sure that you remove all the dealer info on the least quote while forwarding it to the others. You will get few other lower quotes. You will do this for few times till you get to a point that its a reasonable price. Do some research on this dealer and finalize it | ||

Auto deals share info when you do mutiple quotes, so after a while u end up getting same quotes Donot tell that u have car to trade Ready to quit the negotiation table, if it doesn't suite you Negotiate on low interest rates donot take (extended warranty + GAP + other useless stuff) | ||

try to get multiple quotes from different dealers through kbb or edmunds... so u know on an avg what they are offering/discounts available in the market... u can also talk to them over phone and get more info... check the kbb/edmunds prices also... Research little bit....find out what 2012 RAV4s are going for in your area using sites like Edmunds. Contact two to three dealers and get quotes...then brgain based off of your research. | ||
