ee postion ki inthe salary ani seppatam chala kastam...so u have to take the avg...if u r getting the best offer...u r lucky it all depends on the company requirement...when ppl are available in India why r they preferring candidates from USA? if its a product dev company...and generally pays very well in India...they may see candidates profile, education, expertise in relavant area, past exp w.r.t. to the current position....if all of them mathces... for a 10 years exp guy..they may offer the best salary w.r.t to their company perspective... if he falls short of any of the above...depends on his skillset and expertise level..they may negotiate for less salary... in service based companies...even though u get les salaries..ur growth will be fast...and u will have good exposure to business / client communications...in future it will help u to move up the laddar... but product based companies..its more of tech manager.... salary will be more...growth will be less....so u have to choose based on ur interests. if I am a developer, I prefer to work for prod dev company If I am looking for managerial position, I will look for service based companies..to start with this position, i might consider joining a prod dev company... | ||

18L is not a bad deal at all....not many companies can match that offer.....also sr managers level..they shud be getting more perks and bnus... like car driver / petrol (tax exemption)...mobile bil...house rent n lot of other thing....take hme will be more... my cousin was working here for 100k pa (he ws in telecom qa and almost same experience at that time may be 1 or 2 years he has more) and moved back to India for almost same salary ..but position was director (it was a small telecom company) he was getting good bonus and more perks...he is in blore now....moved back to india in last quarter 2008.... | ||

emotional bonding aside, living with US life style in India is faaaar expensive than living with US life style in US. I saw many US returned guys living a frugal life style even after living for more than 10yrs abroad. Prati daaniki ammo, intha rate aa india lo kooda ani feel avutaaru. may be they expect everything is dead cheap in India. Bottom line is its a matter of personal choice. and by the way, 18L is not so much of steal deal for a 10+. Its just an OK deal. I am comparing with blore market. | ||

Many of you are already touching 35, so your parents(senior citizens) need your attention and it is your responsibility. And off course needless to say about culture shock for your kids in USA when they reach teenage. Pizzas, Subways, McD, All branded food and apparel, malls, amusement parks, entertainment, everything available in India also. Good Schools, Good Hospitals, Top class Townships are in place. My comparison is limited for the people who are earning 1 lakh per month in India vs NRIs who are earning more than that in US. When somebody try to compare his/her salary with Indian standards......he/she should also consider the cost of services in India vs USA and also most important thing is Emotional/Social Account Balance that they create while staying in India. It's not just the salary but also the emotional bonding, social life, services, and entertainment they avail for low price while staying back in India. Recently I attended an engagement function in which both bride and bridegroom are ABSENT as one is staying in UK and other staying in USA.........They missed the most important even in their life as it is a huge expenditure travelling to India (flight tkts, Loss of Pay, etc). And their family members also got adjusted to it. We never see this kind of thing with guys/girls staying in India. There are several incidents where own family members are not attending their family functions to save the travel expenditure. | ||

my friend is planning to move back to India... US lo QA consultant, 10yrs exp.. he got an offer of Sr.Manager in hyderabad (he is local to hyderabad).. company not so big, US client.just started outsourcing to india .. 18L+ quaterly bonus (2% to 20%) + yearly 2 months onsite on B1 + as usual yearly hikes.. he is in a dilemma..can anyone help himout..
