That is for Core OS API. Every thirparty hardware drivers may not work unless the vendors certify and release new drivers.

6 months kritham, beta version install chesina, on my HTPC. The Metro UI is not helpful with keyboard/mouse. I had to dig the options to change simple settings, very unintuitive. I turned off Metro UI and worked with legacy UI which pretty much 7. Finally, I could not get Windows 8 drivers for my Video card, resulting just Stereo audio from HDMI. Deleted 8 and put 7 back.

I am hoping some improvements this time with better driver support.
