yes duplicate should be enough (duplicate as in duplicate issued by USCIS, not a photocopy you made on your own). lost i797 tho multiple experiences. First i797 lost in mail (I did not report change of address). Duplicate i797 ki edo process undi, our attorney filed for it (asked me to pay around $500 for USCIS fees). If you need duplicate i797 ask your attorney. second i797 left in Chicago Airport with the CBP officer at Immigration check. Contacted ORD airport Lost & Found department. Immigration documents are handled by CBP, if we find anything we give it to them and we have no information annaaru (I called them 3 months later because it took me that long to realize I am missing those documents). the CBP officials mailed my documents to my old address, package returned, then they mailed it to my employer. so, totally 6 months later I received my lost documents. 01/06/2012 - 169.4;05/04/2012 - 175.8; 8/1/2012 - 179 | ||

Tatkal avasaram ledhu boss, you should get the passport in a week - A friend of mine washed and dried his passport along with his jeans, so he had to apply for a new one, he applied in NY and got it really quick. 797 duplicate isthaaru, ask your employer to file for one. Funny story -2008 lo Naa 797 Attorney deggara nunchi vachina roje maa HR rep fire ayyindhi, Donga munda kopamlo naa 797 chimpesindhi, luckily attorney deggara oka copy undipoyindhi, so my company filed for it again  | ||
