sorry, it is a waste of time to debate the efficiency bit, it is an axiom now. a couple of easy examples, our traffic and our electricity transmission lines. like you, once upon a time people were saying majority didn't want computers. and now the same neta's children are enjoying the benefits of the computerized age. kirana stores want 100% reservation i guess .. Ivaala Bharat Bandh .. in protest against FDI in retail and rise in price of Diesel .. 90% of the small shops who will have an impact protested, like - Kirana stores, furniture stores, bakeries, Tailoring shops, mechanic garages, hardware stores, saloons, photo studios, shoe marts, grain stores, hotels, restaurants all voluntarily shut their shop for the day .. this is in Chennai (where BJP and Sangh are not visible) .. at 1-2 PM today .. Except for big shops/stores (like Reliance Digital, Timex watches, Khazana Jewellers etc) and only essential services like Hospitals and pharmacies are open .. almost every other small business closed down .. the roads were near empty! only 15-20% of the buses and autos were on roads .. TV9 & other media is showing the same impact in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Vishakapatnam, Tirupati, Warangal, Nizamabad, Rajamundry ... due to the bandh .. Let Congress/UPA govt ignore the "aam aadmi" and face the wrath .. but whosoever who thinks he is an intellectual and supports nasty ideas like FDI in retail .. u can keep ur elitist ideas with urself .. common Indian does not think the same way .. and if the govt thinks ppl are with them .. let them face elections on such a crucial issue which will impact almost 10 crore employees working in that sector (meaning 40 crore peoples livelihood and existance) ..
