if you are going to get a new(another) 797 before the current(visa date based one) expires...you dont have to do anything if not, you will and want to use the current 797's date, go to the nearest CBP ( customs and border patrol office) and explain to them that you did not notice it at POE and would like to change they will update the i94...you do not have to leave the country visa is to enter the country...does not matter what company it is issued on after you are in...797/i94 define your legality i went through the exact same issue...2 years back... evening 4 PM kee thread vesaanu, negast day 10 am kee kotha i94 sethilo undhee | ||

Mama you have 2 options 1. File I-539 ($290) showing the new H-1. This may take 6 months some times and if by any chance it gets rejected...November tarav what ever she stayed she will be out of status 2. Go to Canada and when entering insist on asking for a new I-94 ( Usually they will not issue but you can ask saying your current i-94 is expiring ) I had same issue 5 yrs back and i went to Canada and came back with new I-94 08/24/2012-167.4 lbs 02/8/2012-181.2 lbs 01/04/2012-187 lbs | ||
