Nice trip down nostalgia lane :-)lot of old favs - kalyug, benegal,nihalani, nair (salaam bombay is her best),vidhu vinod chopra, ray, mr. & mrs iyer ...

one other favorite is mirch masala -naseer and smita are fantastic - golden age of parallel cinema..when smita shabana rivalry was at peak :-)

another less known gem - amol palekar's direction 'thodasa roomani ho jaaye' adapted from rainmaker starring nana patekar and anita kanwar in the western musical tradition :-) still trying to get hold of a video :-) this was later remade into khoobsoorat (urmila and sunjay dutt)

Unortho - how r u ?

El-Om Puri deserved an oscar for ardh satya too :-)what an actor - handles bollywood calling, ardh satya, dhoop or dev with such ease :-)
