Looks like calling men weak is the excuse to avoid blame. Kind of sad. How many films come out about love failure and heartache of women compared to men? At least 95% are taken by men, in sympathy of men. How many would appreciate a movie that talks about a women who is pinning for a ex-lover while married to someone else? A complete movie about a married heroine helping her childhood sweetheart would never do the same way as vice-versa. The forums will be full of gents calling the movie sick and against culture. Even when female characters are praising heroes, character is praised more than a heroes body. Because there is only so much that our, mostly male audience, will digest these things. A wife will accept that men will drool over Angelina Jolie or such but if the wife admires Chris Hemsworth or Hugh Jackman, men won't take it so easy. Have heard even my caucasian co-workers behave this way. How many men, even in this DB, talk simply about being married and having one night stand or affairs? A man's second wife or setup is justified by some. Will society accept the same talk from women? Perhaps the other angle to think of is that ladies have less choice so they are forced to accept their fate. While single, by parental authorities and once married, by relatives through marriage, there is always some oppression. A man, whatever color or creed, can always take a choice in more situations. There are exceptions to the rule, but I think women in general are weaker emotionally, but are forced to face their reality in harsher manners than men. | ||
