buying here and taking it to India and converting to jewellery - ee plan lo you have very little risk, kaakapothe you have to pay little more to acquire small amount of coins/bars. other alternative is to send money to India whenever you have it and ask your family to buy gold there and keep it in safe. overall you will pay little less that way and there is no need to carry the gold from here. | ||

first of all, are you buying for investment or consumption i.e., Jewellery? If it is for investment purpose, don't bother with any of these as you lose some on both buying and selling. simply go with etf called GLD. if you are buying for jewellery, there is no point in buying here. I mean you don't have any specific advantage, normally our ladies like to buy stuff in India anyway. there won't be any difference between bars & pamp suisse...they are all called bars. bars: USD $ 1,732.60 ea. kitco bar USD $ 1,726.60 ea. perth mint bar = = = = = coins: Regular USD $ 1,750.99 ea. for canadian maple coin...but seems some special promo going on now...so kitco reduced price to USD $ 1,734.91 ea. usually coins will be $30-$40 more than bars on 1 oz. perth mint bar is still cheaper($6) than regular kitco bar. go with perth mint. | ||

just go with bars..regular kitco bars or pamp suisse...those are the ones which has lowest premium charges.. coins will have more premium charges comparing to bars...but both are 99.99% pure. | ||
