As for audience outside of India, Tamil cinema has a good market comparable to Telugu in all countries other USA. Nothing close to Bollywood in most places. USA has a big Telugu market but Canada(Toronto, Montreal) has a big Tamil market. But unlike Telugu audience who love films in general and will watch repeatedly, there is a sizeable population that never watch films in the Tamil crowd. USA telugu market is unbeatable by straight Tamil films. And in the Gulf countries, after Bollywood, Malayalam films rock. Malayalees too, are picky viewers. That is why, even today, you will see leading actresses in Mallu films are Malayalee women. The North craze is less compared to AP and TN. | ||

Reason being, Mana telugu industry dubbing movies medha chaala aadharapadindhi... Medium to low level producers always eye for dubbing movies...not only from tamil, but mallu, english and kannada movies as well.... Oka peddha syndicate vundhi manaki ....lot of pressure to not to impose such rules..ee producers counter enti antey...telugu evadu chinna hero ledu...vunna antha peddha heros...they don't promote or make small budgeted movies and never encourage small time producers...all eye for big... so lot of producers settle on dubbing movies | ||
