Mav Schools are rated across the state....so VA lo school rating (Say Middle School) based on a comparision of SOL score of students in Eng, Math. Naa lekka lo DESI and CHINKI lu unna chota schools good....so natural gaa ne schools in POCKETS of NJ, VA, CA, TX should be good. Your issue is that you already in a school and wants to finish the schooling for rest of the 2 months... which is acceptable anukuntunna. In another way you are not denying the new school also is one of the reasons. But they never agree if you say that school rating is bad etc.. reasons. | ||

We moved to new home in April with 2 months to go, in the current school year. We requested the school district to allow my daughter continue in the same school for rest of the year. The school board agreed and granted the permission. Of course, we were still owning the property there. Not sure if that had any impact. | ||

TT, I would like to agree with this....kaani ikkada NJ lo friend circle antha are moving to good school districts ( read ratings) or letting their kids join in private schools.... so we are plannign a move to a good school district...but when I see more closely in that so called good school district, I see three elementary schools , two of them are a 9 and one is a 8. Most states lo, no exceptions. Florida lo, some counties allow kids of minority race to go to any school. as a father of a 6th grader, let me tell you. In one county...there are several townships (towns/cities). Let us say...I live in a township called Carmel. That is Carmel school district. Carmel school district has 14 elementary schools. your county education dept will decide based on population & crowd at school. you dont have choice. but you can chose out of school district too if you get permission. but you wont get bus transportation. you need to drop off and pick up your kid. | ||
