Goonda Mama, manchi ga physical docs pampu contacting airlines offices. it worked out for me, when i had problem. emirates continiously 2 times re-scheduled from dates etc.. due to unforseen.. and connecting legs lo delta wherever refunded in full after writing/presenting the Facts on PAPER to them. Gooonda don't proceedwith cistomercare. Waste. Get the redressal grievance refunds officer ne and address and send physical mail document your grievence with bills travel tickets etc etc. Also provide everything like how to refund ur bank acc num checks etc etc. It will reallly workout. They will be forced to takea quick decision can't ignore. 1 months lo vachesthai. Ccustomer care just use for info. They take u seriously if u are sending documentations. MEM nunchi ATL ki drive kotti, ATL-dubai-hyd flight ekkalsindi....oka 100, 200 ekkuva aina parledu... better use the vouchers, sometimes you can give it to friends or sell...really difficult to say without looking into vouchers...each vourcer might have different set of terms & conditions... | ||

I need an advice from members who might have gone through or heard their friends experiences the same like i explained in detail below. This past June we(me & family) travelled to India . The supposed route was via MEM-EWR-ZURIC-DELHI-HYD vi UNITED-SWISS. But at the starting point, united flight was cancelled due to technical problem and i was routed to Chicago-Zurich-new Delhi-hyd. But upon reaching Chicago, Swiss refused the tickets for us citing the flight was overbooked. But after explaining them of my problem of travelling with kids they obliged and re-routed us through Etihad airlines to Abh-Dhabi, Jet airways Abu-Dhabi-New Delhi. We travelled smoothly till abu-dhabi in Abu Dhabi jet refused us to provide the ticket from there to new Delhi citing the airport code written in FIM(Flight interruption Manifest) was wrong, it was written as ABU, which is an Malaysian Airport code. I fought with Etihad/Jet without to provide us any airline tickets and get us to India. Despite that they didn’t provide us any. From Abu Dhabi, i called United Customer support explaining about the problem and asking them to book any flight to Hyderabad as they are the ones who messed up my travel plan. every 30-35 minutes the call used to get disconnected and i had to call them multiple times, I was on phone with them for more than 4 hours but they didn’t book any ticket saying that all the flights were overbooked. finally on a suggestion from an Indian who works at Abu Dhabi airport, i had to buy separate tickets from Abu Dhabi to Hyd(Worth 3200 $ and stay in lounge 200$ and food and other expenses around 200$) the next day. The total wait time in Abu Dhabi was 30 hrs. The flight from Abu Dhabi to Mumbai was supposed to start at 11.30 PM and it got delayed an hour and we reached an hour late to Mumbai at 4.30 Am and our next flight was at 6.20 AM. We tried as fast as we can to get out of the Immigration and customs, but our luggage was missing, i tried to find Etihad employee to make a complaint of missing baggage and there was none and since i was running out of time i had to leave the airport and catch the domestic flight. with the kind of luck i was having during that stretch, I missed the flight again in Mumbai and the next flight was only at 4.30 PM in the evening. I had to wait another 8 hours to catch the next flight and reach Hyderabad. I was supposed to reach hyd early hours of 8th , but with all the mess i reached on 9th evening. Remember i still don't had my luggage. from the next day, i ran pillar to post complaining about missing baggage, no one was receptive at the airport or any airline company i travelled with and finally one gentleman gave me jet airways support email and i emailed them about my missing baggage and they traced to new Delhi and got the baggage on 23rd on June, good 2 weeks after my landing. I had to go through hell to reach destination and get my baggage. During this travel i not only lost 2 days of my vacation, i lost money, mental peace and experienced lot of stress. I complained the same to United and Swiss. Swiss agreed to pay the half and they are paying 1750$, but united is saying they will provide gift voucher which is good for travel within a year for 1600$. I don't want the voucher and i am not planning to travel anywhere worth 1600$ in next one year. I replied the same to united and still waiting for reply. If United refuses to pay back in $'s what should i do. is there anything I can do get my money back? I have not even billed them my international roaming cell phone bill( by the way it was office phone and i offered to payback) and missing luggage for 2 weeks.
