also lake geneva (2 hrs from chicago) has fun stuff to do ... horse riding, zip lines, para sailing, jet ski, kayaking, lake houses for rent , walk trails, scenic beaches.

Indiana dunes - portage beaches, silver lake (MI) is not tht far of a drive ... great place to relax and unwind.

The chicago botanical garden is a must see!

Definitely not a worth for your money.....if planning to come only for Chicago.
