18 seat ichav ninevad dekatam led ... chiruvepak  Chiru's Letter In Kiran's Dustbin Newly-elected Rajya Sabha member K Chiranjeevi’s strongly-worded letter to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy protesting against the abnormal hike in power tariff has failed to create any ripples in the party. Sources say the Chief Minister has not taken the letter seriously and it has found its way to the dustbin. Kiran is learnt to have told his cabinet colleagues that Chiranjeevi might be still feeling that he was in the opposition. The megastar was yet to understand the difficulties of administration and hence, his observations need not be taken so seriously. Moreover, the government has already brought down the tariff, albeit marginally, to benefit lakhs of consumers, he pointed out. However, the Congress party sources say Chiranjeevi’s letter has reflected his growing frustration and dissatisfaction over the way the party is ignoring him in key decisions. He has not been getting any invitation from the Chief Minister or PCC president Botsa Satyanarayana for any of the party meetings to work out the strategy for the next round of by-elections. He is grumbling that the Congress leadership in the state has not been consulting him on any issue. So, one can expect more such letters from Chiranjeevi in the coming days as he is desperate to prove his identity in the state politics.  Golden Spoon |
