Twitter: hi Ishan whats up ..long time no see..busy?
Yes Kind of...Moreover, pakka DB lo active ayya...got no much time for here...Hope you are doing great. Anand_n:What role does purusa have in your or my life ? If we strip all 'powers of intereference' from 'God' to equate to Purusa, what role does this "God" have to play in our lives, what portion of our lives does he drive or control... If, as I understand, the answer is none... Then what is the difference between an atheist's view of divine intereference versus a theist's who believes in this version of God? So yeah he's there, we need it to live, as we need Oxygen ... but we do not call Oxygen God :-) What differentiates the theist from the atheist here ?
Its about connecting yourself with purusha/brahman. The only entity that is beyond nature is Purusha. Limitations imposed by nature are the primary causes of misery in human's life. So one has to connect with or identify or realize purusha/brahman inside to master nature. SO belief in self is crucial. A true atheist is the one who doesn't believe in himself. A self believing atheist is closer to brahman/purusha than a god believing low-self confident person. However, atheistic self belief is often tops at ego and wont go beyond it. Whereas, a person aspiring to realize Brahman/purusha goes beyond nature. Thats the difference. THough I get the point, your Oxygen analogy is incorrect. Because Oxygen can perform only certain functions/duties, hence limited. Its just a piece of big puzzle. But Purusha is the whole puzzle itself and present in each and every frame of existence. Anyways, enough philosophy for a single thread. Nice discussion. The thread initiator must be pretty mad at us. Ciao ! |

Nisarga: http://cognitivefun.net/test/1 how fast can you react?
Finally tried it ...and glad I did Thanks for the link Average : Right hand - 187 ms Left 203 But left had a min of 157 which was reassuring cos I had some concern on my left hand reaction speed due to a pinched nerve and this discord between left and right causing a lot of typos...have always been a stickler for spelling and this co-ordination caused typos have been driving me nuts The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim |

Ishan:Purusha IS the motion. But motion doesn't come out of its 'will', if that's how you define god and trying to differentiate purusha from god.
SO let me put that question a differnt way What role does purusa have in your or my life ? Ishan, "it is behind every motion in the nature." But it is not the driving force, it does not cause motion...And that is the most important diffrentiator between Purusa and God The foolish man seeks happiness in the distance; the wise grows it under his feet : James Oppenheim |
