First create a bed room for her and keep telling her that it is her room. Let her play in that room initially. After a few days, tell her that she can sleep there if she wants. Initiate bringing her to her room for sleep and read books to her there. If she is still hesitating to sleep there, follow Raju gaaru's suggestion and take her to bed there and bee with her there until she falls asleep. Don't force her to sleep there, she will reject the notion even more. Let it sink in gradually that that is her room and she sleeps there. | ||

Hyder, I have seen families where mom-lil one and dad- older kid sleep in diff rooms  evariki ela kudirithe ala... My kids have 3 yrs diff, so moved both of them when they were 4.5 & 1.5, roju kaburlu cheppukuntu padukune vallu. Older one never looked back, lil one still comes to us in the early morning and I am so happy that she does | ||

when is the right time to start putting your kid to sleep in his/her own room? i know they will not be any yardstick but wt have you done? My daughter is 3 and half and still sleeps with us. Son is 6 months old.. sleeping in the crib next to our bed. When one of them gets sick (cough) other one is having disturbed sleep. also younger when sometimes wakes up in the middle of the night for milk or some other reason... and daughter also wakes up due to his crying noise.. Daughter doesn't want to sleep in the other room hence we are not forcing her thinking she is still young... so wanted to check how u guys handled such scenarios Don't say you don't have enough time.
