I see posts of some people in this DB and wonder why they empathize with corrupt people. Although i think there are two more explanations are more viable - 1) they see opposite group as more harmful and their leadership's role is to put a check on the opposite group 2) they look at politics as a game like cricket and they have committed themselves to supporting one team based on whatever reasons. now their support is their identity and they are just protecting their identity. this is a very ignorant way of understanding politics and democracy but we see it prevalent in many third world countries. but both of the above do not explain the part of their brain that shuts off and ignores the bad things done by their own leaders. i think there is mass stockholm syndrome at play here.
