Thanks for your post. I bought the the following HP in Sams yesterday for $699. HP Pavilion 15.6" Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB, 750 HD, plays blue ray and reads /writes DVD includes Beats audio. I feel that this is a good price for above configuration. But, when people have mixed opinion on HP, I am rethinking on my purchase. Above all,I like 14" laptops. I rarely see any deals with 14". What is your say on the above laptop? Thank you once again! | ||

The business line of laptops are well made, be it Dell/HP or any other brand. The Consumer line lappys are usually cheap and can break easily. Pick the one that suits you. | ||

One of my friends' suggested me not to go for ASUS. Also, in my University, one of the tech guy said that they often get complaints from ASUS. Even though I like ASUS, what I heard about ASUS is prohibiting me to go for ASUS. Please clarify on all these ambiguities. | ||

I hear lot of bad experiences with HP in this thread. Are there any good experiences with HP? If the configuration of HP, ASUS and TOSHIA are same, which would be the order of preference? Some how, I like 14" or < 14" laptops. Mostly, I see 15.6" in the market. The reason I like 14" is, they are not too heavy, and easy to carry. Can some one throw light on why the market is poured with 15.6" laptops? | ||

who the cuff uses 17" laptop? People don't understand the concept of "portable" computer.... duh.. I never owned HP laptop, but they looked very flimsy when I played with them in stores. Based on everyone's experience, go with ASUS. | ||
