Let's not dismiss it as hype. There must be some merit in the product. Most of the times it is the "novelty". See it as a marketing phenomenon. When Nirma launched their detergent, it was hugely successful instantaneously. People could not explain. It is a very inferior product. It has no packaging. It does not work in hard water. Every one dismissed it as hype and hoped it will die. It did not die. It went on to become a 1000 cr product. When Japan made a silly LCD based toy called "Tomaguchi", every one was so irritated and pissed off called it hype and hope it will end soon. It did not. It grossed Billions before it went out of favor. So many such examples. They are marketing phenomenons. They cannot be planned or created, they just happen. | ||

This is really unfortunate that people addicted to hype.If rally good mivie or good song with no hypye failed to reach audience .Recent example is sri rama rajyam and Ra one.Srirama rajyam failed at boxoffice eventhough its very good movie .Sharukh khan started hype one year back for ra one and first three days many people watched this movie because of hype and all of them unanimously declared one of the wrost movie of the decade.Result raone collected around 115 cr.Shraukh khan recoverd his 180 cr by advertisemnets and other revenues but disributors suffered with severe losses. Just common sense, out of 130cr indian population how many people accessing internet,face book and twitter ? Earlier we saw many genuine good movies and songs.But now because of these innocent college going people using twitter/facebook and stared giving hype to ordinary and silly issues.So the result is ordinary movie like delhi belley is big hit and ordianry song like kolaveri got 3.3 mil youtube hits. Now coming to this song, song is good but nothing extraordinary.Then why suddenley started this hype ? Now rajani's rana shelved beacuse of his health problems,so they starred to give hype to dhanush. | ||
