yes alane vinna.. After Portugal invaded goa and Mangalore Calicut areas all those were converted forcibly . Some of them ran away to south kerala and some to Maharashtra konkan(all GSBs speak konkini) areas and some to Udipi areas. Their food habits changed. This was told by GSB friend long time ago. Have anyone heard of Saraswat brahmins, my close friend is one, and he is pretty rigourous in rituals. they cook meat at home, he says saraswat brahmins have always had meat(except beef) in their diet. Dogs are actually bred as hunting helpers. the word "retriever" means, when the hunter hunts an animal, the retriever fetches the animal from water, bushes or in the rocks. beagles are reared for scenting, terriers are for going into narrow holes like fox-holes. in animal world, there is a natural food chain or prey and preying. the human was also in that chain for a limited time, but slowly he dominated the whole chain. to save wholesale destruction, he has devised a self-imposed restriction such as what to eat, what not to eat, and also based on economy, palate and practicality. if you love a dog very much, and hence love all animals very much, and hence feed a dog vegetarian food, the dog is not going to appreciate it. he/she may actually suffer. | ||
