I do not know your range, but if you are between 5 and 10MN, do not touch stocks, while running the business. Focus on growing your business from 10Mn to 100Mn. If your business is such that you will have a large short term float always, then it is a different deal. For that, you need to hire some one smart, qualified and trustworthy. making money on floats is easy, provided you have a professional doing it. | ||

TRK, if you have a chunk of cash, 30 yr tresury is at 3.5% now. a very good deal. Buy the bonds, not bond funds. To buy a bond, you need to work with Bond Trader. Your bank should have one. Do not buy a Bond ETF. Both are quite different. | ||

Lucky you. In your position, you should just invest in CDs and accumulate them to a sizeable amount and then make a big strategic asset based buy. Stocks are for people < 5M. Above that, you are in a different orbit. You need to focus on strategic investing, such as buying Rental Properties, expanding your own business by acquiring more, etc.. Wealth managers - they come in all types - so be careful. You would end up paying a fee for losing money. | ||

2009, The Asian gold season starts just a week after Vinayaka Puja, and goes into April. Chines start around Dec and go upto Mar. Oct - Apr is the gold retail season. When it becomes $1100, I will reward it by adding another 500, or 1000 depending on the availability. All these super high risks are done using dividend money! ade naku teliyadam ledu tammudu. ee roju paiki vellindi. surprising. i did not know how to read today's market - except some rationalizing like this: gold was already pushed up by EU and Asia by the time Chicago opened - so, even though Dow went up for US domestic policy reasons, Gold had to go up too due to the oversees strong market. here is what i did y'day: Exited my night-watch-man GLL calls at a minimal loss. Thanks GLL! Its job was to hedge my SGOL and UGL. Also, exited UGL completely, just in case gold takes a hit. Now have SGOL and bunch of IAU calls. That UGL money I kept a Limit Order for SGOL. | ||
