NU, are you getting the feeling ISRG and MAKO are correlating? MAKO rose with ISRG today otherwise for no reason. if so, it's tremendous. what might be causing that correlation is, they both might be in some health care ETF and some hedge fund is buying heavily into it. | ||

Say suppose 100 people bought INP worth 10 Million USD. INP collected money from them. Now INP has to physically buy the shares of various companies included in their basket in that ratio to the tune of 10 Million and take the delivery of the shares. That means they have to open a trading account and show to RBI that they bought the stock. This is an outstanding directive by YV Reddy. Otherwise, someone outside india can buy fictitious shares in the form of INP and manipulate the Indian markets. | ||

Chittesh, this is the precise reason, YV Reddy asked them to take physical delivery of the stock. But you are right, RBI gave them the order, but they do not have jurisdiction to enforce it. So, the ETN issuer may or may not follow the guidelines. | ||
