Thanks guys for all your reply's. I just spoke to one attorney I got his number from one of the nurse from the hospital. And the attorney is asking 40% as the fee. What are teh factors I need to consider when I talk to the attorney. And who decides the amount of the money to sue the hospital? | ||

This issue brings up a good discussion on punitive damages and whether they really act as a deterrent. It always puzzled me how the judge or jury arrive at the amount of monetary compensation that can truly be just. If a loved one is lost of debilitated due to malpractive can money really ease the pain and anguish. Is so how much is enough. Sad consequence is that those costs are passed back onto us. Insurance companies end up jacking the cost of coverage for the hospital and they recoup it through increased cost of medicine. Wonder how it works in india. | ||

Doctors/Hospitals here are usually very careful about saving their ass, I dont know if suing really works. Take care of your kid. I think if you keep all the paper work from the hospital..you can sue them whenever you want..once your kid is doing well. | ||

IT must be the technician's mistake. She/he might have turned on the UV light instead of regular one. If this was correct, uv lite can cause severe damage. You have every right to sue them. I would have sued them if I were you. I cant imagine such a thing to happen to my kid. I hope ur kid recovers soon. Consult a lawyer asap. Hi Frnds, I want to share what we ar egoing through from past two weeks. My 10 month old was having some problem and doctor advised a test for which he need sto give IV fluids.So we went to the hospital for the test and Doctors had hard time to find his vein and they are suppose to use a light through with they can see the vein. They call it a transilluminator light but they use a wrong light which is very hot and they burn his right foot. The burns 3rd degree. He was in ICU for most of the time last week. They did a opertion and he need to go for one more operation. It was real hell for us.. Doctors simply said sorry and xfered him to a burnt hospital.. Frnds are advising me to sue the hospital.. Sue cheste emanna issue vastaya later if I visti the hospital.. Sue cheyalante procedure enti.. Tnks in advance.. |
