Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein

The about 12 rolling stock suppliers (rakes) for the Rs 16,375-crore Hyderabad Metro project are expected to be finalized by September this year - according to a statement of L&T Metro Rail Ltd. Chief Executive and Managing Director of L&T Metro Rail Ltd, Mr. V. B. Gadgil, revealed that negotiations with companies such as Bombardier, Alstom and Siemens are being held. The deal is expected to be worth about Rs 2,000 crore, encouraging suppliers to set up a local unit.

During a journalists' visit at L&T's training centre at Jadcherla, Mr. Gadgil affirmed that the work should start in the next few weeks and that the designs are being finalized. Recently one announcement of the company stated its financial closure for the Rs 16,375-crore project. Estimates foresee the requirement of about 2.8 lakh tonne of steel and 3 lakh tonne of cement.

More than 50,000 people are expected to be employed during the construction phase of the project, including about 2,500 engineers and 2,500 highly skilled people. The project should be launched in May.

A compensation of Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000 per square yard in commercial areas should ensure the security of having no problems in the property acquisitions process by the government. But some pending cases still need one solution.
