my opinion they have every right but schemes pics shud be removed In yet another move to embarrass the YSR Congress Party floated by former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the Congress party on Friday moved the Election Commission of India, raising objections over the Jagan party’s flag. In a petition to the EC, Pradesh Congress Committee leader Kamalakar Rao said Jagan’s party had no right to use the picture of YSR on the party flag, as the latter had died while he was in the Congress party. As such, YSR was a Congress leader and did not belong to any other party. Secondly, the schemes portrayed around YSR’s picture in the YSR Congress party flag were all the Congress party schemes which were still being implemented; and hence, Jagan’s party could stake claim over the schemes. “Therefore, the YSR Congress Party cannot go to the by-elections in Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly constituencies with their flag depicting YSR picture and the Congress party schemes,” Rao said. The EC asked him to file a detailed affidavit on that. YSR Congress party leader Ambati Rambabu, however, strongly objected to the Congress petition. “The Congress has absolutely no moral right to stake claim on YSR or his picture, as it has miserably failed to fulfill YSR’s schemes or programmes. It is completely immoral petition,” he said. |
