2003 1.India went there after a distorous tour of NZL.. 2.First few matches Gangu opened with veeru..Sachin came no.3..immense pressure on Gangu to make sachin open.India lose badly to Aus and Sachin Opened with veeru 3.Nehra best figures for an Indian bowler in WC aginst Eng.He played that match with an injury.Same match lo Kaif running out Eng opener was a highlight the cameras could catch it. 4.March 1st 2003..India played Pak after 4 yrs..Sachin was well supported by Kaif..Yuvi and Dravid 5.Srinath's spell againt SL won him a rare man of the match 6.Ganguly againt Keny in the semifinals..he hit 3 centuried in this WC..2 againt Kenya and 1 againt Namibia 7.SA unlucky again..they read the rule wrongly | ||

'83 WC idea ledu. 84 lo Azahr debut on England was my first series to watch on TV. Aa time lo max. enjoy chesindi, Benson & Hedges cup which India won. Ravi shastri was player of the series. 87 WC (Reliance cup) ki just mundi intlo color tv konnam. Series antha baaga unde, until semis lo Gooch gaadi manaku gattiga gucchadu. The worst part was to watch Ind-Pak matches in those years. We were psychologically lost against them, before 1st ball is bowled. Then, Sachin debut and Indian team changed all of a sudden.... | ||

no quarters in 1987. it was a must-win match for india. the match before that, against zimbabwe, gavaskar played one of his classic ODI innings, 50 off 115 balls or something like that. once sunny got out, kapil whacked some 40 in 25balls and later criticised sunny for not thinking about net run rate and stuff. sunny took that personally in the nzl match ani talk of the town during those days. alage 92 lo ind-aus was not qf, in that world cup 9teams played against each other and top 4 at the end made semis. india did lose by 1 run. they also lost by 1 run to aussies in 1987 WC. (siddhu hit 5 sixes in that match) and 1987 final lo gatting reverse sweeps border and gets out at a crucial time. he was criticised big time for that shot. (not as notorious as misbah's 20-20 final shot, but almost there) 87 lo chetan sharma hatrick against nzl and he and sunny got MEN of the match award for that match. viv richards scored 181 against SL and WI scored 360 in that match. What the executioner did after he was done with his job. (4,6) | ||
