within one year of birth india allows citizenship registation though in the case of US born kids it knows they also get US citizenship.....However if parents take indian citizenship they must take indian passport and shouldn't apply for US passport | ||

US allows dual citizenship, but not india
this is a special scenario, i think it's not legally binding on the part of consular officer....in any case they won't allow before 15 years AFAIK | ||

OCI citizenship kaadhu....it's like a lifelong valid visa.....indian citizenship ki apply cheyyochu but only after renouncing foreign citizenship...in the case of kids born in US according to US law they can only do that when they become 18 years old | ||

ledu, I was being serious. Most people who gave birth to kids in US so far are only looking at US as the final destination for their kids. And they will cross the bridge about kids having Indian citizenship the day they think they need it. As for not being able to own lands monne evallo ee db lo ne chepparu they are many ways of achieving it. US citizen kids need to wait till they are 18 years old if they want to give up their citizenship, until they give up their US citizenship i think india won't let them to become indian citizens unless they are registered as indian citizens within one year of their birth on foreign land | ||
