using check book forces me to know where I am spending. So, I still use it. Even tho almost everything using electronic payments, I write every single payment from my bank in the checkbook. put a portion of ur paycheck in savings by default. Corp -> bank automatic ga vellipovali. If possible make that other account be in a separate than the bank where u have ur regular checking account Make a list of all expenses. Based on that u know how much of ur monthly check u can save. So, make that amount go into savings account every month. 70-30 or 80-20 something like that. You will start slowly but ur goal should be to have savings for at least 6 months of expenses, in case u r out of job or whatever reason When it comes to expenses, try to plan for all big expenses - buying gold, annual vacation, india trip. You will at least how much it may cost and u can see how much of it u can pay for. If possible save for that big expense. Mall ki velte credit cards intlo petti vellandi. Only 25 dollars cash type lo. Then what u buy will be very limited. If I buy something, I have to return something or remove smething from the house and donate it ani pettukondi. That way you will be forced to wonder if you really need that whatever u r buying. Less clutter also. Go to the mall in the evening when u r really tired. You won't be interested in buying.
