Right, it's dual core (physical) and quad-core (virtual). But, so is I5-540M or I7-640M. That does not mean the new Core I processors perform just as previous gen. core 2 processors. Their memory speeds are better (DDR3) on top of hyper-threading. | ||

In what way? I3-370M processor is also a dual core processor just like the Core 2 Duo with exception of hyper threading via virtual cores which are not as fast as a real, physical, non-virtual cores. The performance of the Core i3-370M should be between a 2.5 and 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo 3.2 lbs is the only deciding factor for portege. | ||

Nee toshiba m700 cheppukovadaniki tablet, but it just a lappy with swivel screen. Ayina, 4.7 lb tablet evaraina mostara? With core 2 processor and 2 GB ram, the $1200 price is ridiculous. The Portege I got is a lappy weighing 3.2 lbs with better specs. | ||

Weekend best buy lo chana time spend chesina. Most of the HP/Dell lappy are good on specs but really bad on build quality. Their budget laptops are bulky, heavy and ready to break anytime. I suspect if they last more than 2 years. Thnikpads in general do not have eye-candy stuff like other brands but are very reliable. They are most suited for professional work than personal usage. | ||

Last weekend "Toshiba Portege R705-P35" laptop konna. It has I3 processor with 4 GB memory and 500 GB hard disk. Best part is, it is very portable and weighs 3.2 lbs. Specs-wise inka better models unnayi, but this is very light weight and easy to carry. | ||

The Rate is the current going rate for that configuration (HDD general ga 320GB untadi aa rate ki). Pedda deal em kaadu between i3,i5,i7 Go for i5 if in budget - Gives best vaklue for money Also remember. with i3/i5/i7 they are sub models. Example : between i5-650M and i7-620M there is a huge price difference but there is NO huge performance difference. Better to stick to i5 in this case. So look at the exact model and check if it is worth the price jump over the previous version Jump from i3 processor to i5 will cost you approximately $90 more. | ||
