Is it because it's more than 500 years old? Is it because it's done by a painter,artist,scientist,inventor,Intellectual Is it because it's shown as a symbol of art by the French to revive their sinking economy? Is it because it's drawn on a wooden frame with splits in between which were shown by infra-red captures? Is it because it's depicting Leonardo's mom whom he missed so much? Is it because the picture in the image is staring at the spectator & at those times it was daring to have a image staring at the viewer? Is it because of being in the collection of the French Emperor? Is it because it has a mysterious enigmatic smile which no one could really figure why she was smiling like that? Is it because an artist committed suicide in the 18th century trying to think why she was smiling & what her smile really meant? Is it because the smile has a certain sexual element to it? Is it because the smile looks like seducing to destroy? Is it because it has so many layers of painting all over it to make it what it looks like now? Is it because Leonardo never disposed this off while he was alive despite selling most of the works? Is it because Leonardo had it with him until he breathed his last? Is it because Leonardo took this painting along with him where ever he went? Is it because Leonardo felt so much satisfied with his painting he carried it all over with or is it because he still felt there's some thing unfinished to be done to the painting? Is it because it was painted all in organic natural colors? Is it because over a period of time, the colors started to fade & started looking different over time? Is it because the woman in the image is reasonably good looking? Is it because the woman in the image is from a noble family? Is it because it's now a part of world heritage? Is it because the image had a background to it which was relatively new then? Is it because people still try to figure out if the woman in the image is happy? nervous? unsatisfied? middle of doing some thing? Is it because the lace of the woman is missing? Is it because the right arm is placed over her left arm? Is it because the left arm is trying to keep her dress covering over her knees? Is it because the hair of the woman is simple? Is it because the woman had no eye lids & eyelashes? Is it because the woman just looked sexy enough to even seduce dead people from the grave? Is it because the muslim community never tried to buy this from any auction or never tried to bid for it & the others think since muslims never had an eye for beauty this is just a masterpiece?
