Another example...most of the townhome owners feel ...for $750 more mortgage, I could have owned a single-family home...you know how difficult to sell one and buy another in CA, realty is so screwed up here...may be easier in other places...a single-family home owner would mostly not think about a palace, because most likely he can't afford it... You don't have to buy a Nikon, but think about buying a DSLR you can keep for at least 2 and half years... If you use it for sometime, it won't be pinching to discard...Cylone can help you with finding the right model, as he has done some research... savage, The short answer for your requirements is olympus model cylone bought. You can buy from costco; the body and 2 lens. And if you are not happy...you can return the gear... And the long answer is different... If I were you, I would add 300 more and go for a nikon, but if you have to stick to your budget, you opt for olympus...not sure what's the price of XSI cylone is talking about... Not to influence you with my opinion, but here are the reasons why I would go for nikon, if I were you...don;t take my opinion for granted, make an informed decision after your own research... 1) We often feel after buying a lower budgeted product...ah...for few dollars more I could have brought the better product...best example is buying civic, when one could have bought accord for 3k more...a civic owner has this awe filled look at accord, subconciously...for a 50 dollar more installment, he could have gone for accord...he can't discard the civic anytime soon or go for an accord either...again he usually will not have that kind of resentment comparing civic with a mercedes model... I have made this mistake so many times (not in car's case) while buying different products that I now buy product/s to be useful for atleast 3 to 4 years...basically I should not repent my buying... I don;t mean to say all civic owners think similar nor do I mean to say civic is cheap...but I have come across so many people to point out this subconcious reality... Not sure why cylone is going for another DSLR, when he already owns a Olympus...it might be the reason I cited above or could be some other... 2) Nikon lens produce better colors and half of the photography is color... 3) I can own Nikon with pride and a thought of discarding it would not occur to me...some models may be bad here and there...and some lens made in taiwan may be inferior...I would pick the right model and 'made in japan' lens... 4) Today I might feel...let's buy the DSLR for 700 and let me learn photography and discard it in an year...in reality it does not happen...one continues to use it and can't buy a new one either...partly because we don;t own 2 products for the same functionality, especially when it does not earn any money for us... 5) If budget is little tight, like in my case, wait for some more time till you can afford those extra dollars and in the mean time get some idea on the products...don;t go by reviews...find people in your neighborhood who own a nikon or canon or olympus or pentax DSLR and take both of them and get pictures simultaneously...and see with your own eyes and make an informed decision... Nenu 70-150 ni use chesi teesina portraits lo background blurred ga vacchi chaala baagunnayi. I liked them... and this I did it in auto mode only. Of course Depth of Field ni vary chesi manual mode lo kooda basic lens tho theeyocchu but auto mode is easy kadha. | ||

XT maatram konoddu for sure. XTi is better than that. Inka Nikon lo D60 US COSTCO lo manchi setting according to me. (includes ZOOM lens too) Olympus falls under 3/4th system veeti sensor size chinnavi ga untaayi as they are aimed at Starters. Smaller the sensor size lesser the quality anukovacchu... but in reality for household shots you will not see much of a difference. Nenu naa photos link icchanu gaa choodu. mine is 3 yrd old one. If you are planning to buy a new one go for Nikon D40. The only "Con" about D40 is there is autofocus lens motor in camera. When you plan to upgrade your lens you have to look for motored auto focus lens. Other models in Nikon are equipped with autofocus motor. babai.. go for Nikon D70 or Nikon D40.. The good thing about nikon camera's are same lens can be used on several different Nikon DSLR's.. you can even use the lens of your old Nikon reel camera.. I hope you are referring DSLR. In that case try Olympus E410. This is a good camera to start with for that budget. You will get it for less than $600. This also has Live View option very rare feature to have it in prosumer versions for that dollar amount.
