debatable...you pay interest and get a small break in taxes you pay vs no interest and pay little higher taxes. me thinks not much difference, additionally you get peace of mind without loans. | ||

btw, my last rate was only 2.8 when I started 10 years ago it was 4.75; after 5 years I got it renewed for 3.75 and half way into that term I broke the contract paid small penalty and got it refinanced at 2.8 and paid off.. | ||

obviously US exports would be more expensive but on the other side of the ledger they will get the benefit of cheaper imports. On the whole, strong currency is better for any country. my view on USD - when there is volatility and fear in the global markets, people flock to the best among the worst which is USD. we have seen that in it's the strongest among the weak in general. if we have to bet on currencies, which one we will pick among world currencies today? all commodities are priced in USD and its not going to change anytime soon | ||
