adi kadu bro, why should the government "run" hospitals? we know government is full of do-nothing sleazebags....we know government is not efficient at "running" things.. it's just inefficient, will cost the taxpayers more with shixtty service....if it is private enterprise, service would be better and they know how to run a tight ship give low income folks subsidized healthcare and privatize hospitals...less work for govt., better service for citizens | ||

Ayushman Bharat my have more coverage (around Rs 5 Lakhs vs Arogyasri's Rs 2 Lakhs),but the eligibility conditions are very strict.If a 'family member' has a job/income over Rs 10k or has two wheeler or even a phone ..they are not eligible..where as Arogyasri covers 95% of state population (just a white ration card is enough to be eligible) Arogasri is tested,improved and efficient system..where as Aysushman Bharat is still in initial stages with teething problems Though Ayushman Bharat is a central Scheme,the state Govts have to contribute 50% towards it This scheme is good for northern states where such Govt freebies rarely exist | ||

No idea how much it would cost to set up a hospital.. Like the equipments and everything might be a little expensive kada.. 2000 crores tho district ki oka hospital ayina improvise cheyocha?? added to that, sustainability of those hospitals is also important.. can the govt. bear such high costs of maintenance and salaries and handle so many patients for a subsidized price.. Arogya Sree is a Good program PROVIDED misuse is CONTROLLED (like ANY OTHER government schemes). Anyway, every government competing on WELFARE schemes is NOT GOOD for the COUNTRY in the LONG TERM. BTW, I didn't hear too many complaints in welfare schemes under YSR and all the so called corruption happend in JALA YAGNAM (based on the allegations and whatever has been proved so far). | ||

I'm okay with Aarogyasri.. Health is of utmost importance.. But even for YSR, was it such a mammoth task to improvise Govt Hostpitals?? He ended up funding those private hospitals(which is good for the poor coz they would've never gotten such a good treatment).. I do have a question.. Why is improvisation of Govt. Hospitals unachievable for all the Political Parties across India.. Health and Education are like basic things where few govts in the world provide free.. -> Will the corporate hospitals fund the parties and lobby so as to ensure there's no development in govt. hospitals?? coz, naa laantodu kuda if Govt. hospital is decent enough, will go there and save a lot of money anukunta.. but unfortunately kudaradhu.. | ||

Looks like ayushman is more of a health insurance....are the beneficiaries different? Can they com0lement each other...bqaga plan chaste state janatha ki baaga use yemo kadha? Does the state have its own ayushman like scheme? |
