Germany has seen little reduction in carbon emissions since they went (almost) 100% renewables. Whereas countries like France, Sweeden went Nuclear and seeing significant cost reduction and not so much emissions. Solar, Wind is not 24x7...You still need a backup source that is capable of servicing 100% needs .....So it has to be Coal, Natural Gas or Nuclear....We can't have Nuclear & Coal as per environmentalists....But India has no natural gas...So what are we supposed to do? | ||

china doing it because it has the largest rare earth metal reserves from which solar panels and windmills can be made... going to renewables has 2advantages for china... 1)it has the huge pollution problem especilly coal lit smog...which is dangerous to human healt...it can get rid of that. 2)being the largest producer of rare earth, it can dominate the renewable market with its products, which steers it economy further.... ............................................................ ............. i strongly hope India replicates this magic... Cane ethanol methanol using ante.. desam lo kashtam.. ppl can misuse lot of infra.. Ika nuclear is the easiest.. not smartest option yes.. anduke munduku veltunam.. brazil uses ethanol from cane sugar for cars and trucks.... by 2030 half Europe will stop using diesel and petrol cars....remember every gallon used by you will cause direct effect on the african, south asian people.... the crude industry is highly subidized...we dont think about the future generations....they will face the consequences of the disaster caused now... chaning the production chain by altering the supply chains and using effective mechanisams so that optimum usage of materials can be done using the life cycle assessment is the best thing India can do... India must stay away from it..... I just completed a review on the toxicological effects of the nuclear meltdown and fallout... chances are low...but if occurred it would be disastrous...India can't afford the consequences of such a thing... india must phase out nuclear and move to more clean renewable.... also must stop energy production from coal.....if a state produces thermal ...youre effecting health of other states and not paying for it...
