Sydney is better and bigger , but Melbourne is set to take over Sydney in the near future both in terms of population and Economy also Be prepared to change your field for an early break if you are desperately want to join the workforce Australia is good...but if savings and earning is your primary goal, please pick either USA or India Guntur, Hyderabad, Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka first....India last!!! | ||

Financial sector capital is Sydney..almost all the major banks and NBFCs are in Sydney..Retail,public sector, Teleco and Health care are the other domains where you'll see more number of IT jobs after Finance sector If you are moving to Australia on PR and you have savings in hand, I will suggest you to go for your first home after getting job here...of course, getting a house in Sydney is an expensive deal ..Melbourne is catching up Guntur, Hyderabad, Andhra, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Karnataka first....India last!!! | ||

I agree with Pete_sampras. I lived in Sydney for 5 years and I currently live in Melbourne. Sydney is a beautiful city. Sydney is the best place for IT jobs. But the cost of living is quite high in Sydney. Not the best place for first home buyers. Melbourne is a beautiful city and it's the sports capital of Australia. For many years Melbourne was the most liveable city in the world. For jobs Melbourne is the second best place in Australia. Canberra is the capital city of Australia. It's a very small city. All the Federal government jobs are in Canberra. You need to be a Citizen and need security clearance to get Federal government jobs. Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Hobart are very nice cities. But the job opportunities are less compared to Sydney and Melbourne. | ||

I Lived in Sydney and Perth...my personal fav is Perth... Perth.. Beautiful and small city with good connectivity but few jobs...edaina govt jobs dorikithe best place to live in the world IMO...just 2.5 hours time difference to India.... but is also most isolated city in the world...with nearest big city 4 hours flight distance... Sydney.. Business capital of the australia...good IT and banking jobs...Nice and beautiful city but small and congested roads but public transport in top class...very very expensive to live... Melbourne.. Sports and entertainment capital of Australia...Indians prefer to live in Melbourne more... Brisbane is good, but not sure about job and other stuff... | ||
