The reason is three fold... 1) Mayawati is seen as second rung player to SP in that alliance.. 2) Main tussle is between dalits and obc's in villages than upper castes..in 2014 wherever BSP is weak dalits voted for BJP...thats the issue...OBC lo yadav domination is too tough to handle for dalits... 3) non jathav dalits are with BJP/SP/BSP...if she forms an alliance with SP, then congress and SP will try to eat into her cake... Most probably this may not happen. Why do you think BSP stayed out of MP elections. There is pressure being put on her by having her brother trapped in CBI cases. Gujarati industrialists are putting hundreds of crores on the table to prevent their tie up. If i were in her position, i would gladly take around 500 crores and not do a tie up kadha.
