Yeah, agree with you but I dont like Upscaled content just for the sake of FLAC format. Upscaling is like repacking the yesterday's left over food to sell in the India railway catering service... If old content, prefer to live with compressed MP3 versions while new original prints, prefer FLAC. Upscaled FLAC is simply waste of space(its around 6 times space guzzler than a regularly compressed MP format. | ||

I agree with Jeffa. I have written a small python application that can download Youtube content. Every object, has multiple formats of Videos,Audios. Meeru either specify cheyachu specific combination, or the app itself gives you the optimium combination. But then, this is good for me when i try to download some old videos, etc, that can go off edo backup kosam. If the original isnt true FLV, or Flac, youtube is just doing the upscaling for you.. that said, i ahve also found, some video channels doing 3d-8d upscaling on songs. Apple is adding Apple Losless format(on par with FLAC) in their music app.. its Racha Rambola if your (car or HT) audio system is a very good one. Bose headphones adds value for FLAC | ||

Tammi, this is not going to yield good result. The idea of FLAC is to directly carry the original sounds from its original print. Any intermediate conversion results in tearing your shirt to stitch another shirt.. Youtube compresses its audio. Now downloading such compressed audio and elevate to FLAC is useless. We need to get the quality from the horse mouth. | ||

At minimum VLC plays(I use it on macbook). Trying to figure out to play them on iPho(preferably on Apple Music app), if I can, I dont need to worry about playing them on my HT or any of my vehicles as all of my music infra plays from itunes/apple music. :-)
So far, I am having Tamil songs but almost few to none Telugu. If you dont have too sophisticated player(HT/Headphones etc), there is no use of FLAC... MP3 is good enuf... | ||
